Nancy W. Denig, RLA, ASLA, (MLA, University of Massachusetts, 1975;
BA, Smith College, 1968) is the founding Principal of DDA and adjunct faculty
member at the University of Massachusetts Department of Landscape Architecture
and Regional Planning. Nancy's planning and design work is noted for its
combination of rationality and creativity. She is known, too, for her collaborative
approach to work and public presentation capabilities. Presented recently
with the Distinguished Alumni Award from her graduate alma mater, Nancy's
other qualifications include certification by the National Council of Landscape
Architectural Registration Boards and professional registration in Connecticut,
Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. Nancy is President of the
Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity and formerly of the Frank. A. Waugh
Alumni Association. Current board memberships include the Botanic Garden
of Smith College and the University of Massachusetts College of Natural
Resources and the Environment.

Martin G. Ringey, RLA, ASLA, (MLA, Cornell University, 1994; BBA,
University of Massachusetts, 1988) is DDA's Senior Associate, noted for
his effective project management, staff supervision, design development
and contract documentation. Martin's ten years of professional practice
has focussed on large, complex school and multi-family housing projects.
His current project responsibilities include management of Porches Inn
Hillside Trail, Smith College Capen Garden Rehabilitation, Churchill Park
and Spring Meadows Apartments. Martin's registration as a landscape architect
is in Massachusetts.

Sandra Jaquay-Wilson, ASLA, (MLA, University of Massachusetts, 2004;
BS, Landscape Architecture, magna cum laude, University of Massachusetts,
1999) is DDA's planner and landscape designer. Sandra's nine years of
planning experience, with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments
in Greenfield, MA and on the Town of Buckland Planning Board, focus on
sustainability and preservation issues. In addition to position papers
on innovative stormwater solutions and constructed wetlands in behalf
of the Ecological Cities Project, Sandra's other research and writing
work addresses: open space planning; natural and scenic resources; and
housing and economic development. Sandra's student work won her an American
Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award and membership in the Sigma
Lambda Alpha Honor Society. Further education includes: Brown Fields &
Gray Waters, Restoring and Remediating Degraded Landscapes; Water Sensitive
Ecological Planning and Design; and MA Stormwater Regulations, Phase II.
Jenna Snyder
(BA, Smith College, 2003) is DDA's landscape designer and computer graphics
expert. Jenna has recently graduated from Smith College with a degree
in architecture and urbanism. She also spent a semester abroad traveling
Europe and studying architecture at the University of St. Andrews. Jenna
has worked for Tris Metcalfe Associates as an architectural intern and
for Snyder Brothers Construction where she specialized in landscape installation.
She has also served as a panelist on architecture committees for Smith
College. Jenna is currently working on the Downtown Northampton Improvement
Plan and Hersch Residence. Her love for architecture and design originated
from the family business which she one day hopes to continue.
Other professional staff members contribute to DDA's work with research,
writing, existing conditions documentation, planning and design collaboration,
graphic production, CAD drafting, illustrative drawing, model-building
and other aspects of our work, as may be required. DDA also partners frequently
with Architects, Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, Environmental
Scientists, Surveyors, Construction Consultants/Cost Estimators, Market/Economic
Analysts, Artists and other specialized talents, as may be required for
specific project needs.
