The Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts owns 430 acres of land featuring typical central Massachusetts woodlands and fields, a drumlin, wetlands, floating bog, a 30 acre impoundment and historic mill stream. The Diocese wanted to make its existing summer camp more accessible and to develop additional year round facilities. DDA’s master plan, based on a comprehensive natural resource assessment, envisions phased growth in the context of land stewardship. Phase I includes accessibility improvements and development of a confer-ence center. Ensuing phases include camp improvements, a farm, nature center, vacation/rental center, trails and conservation areas.
